A beautiful piece, cut from the shoulder, Flat Iron Steak is great for grilling! As thickness can vary, some suggest pan-frying. We typically have our steaks cut at 1 inch, so cooking can be achieved in multiple ways. Once the flat iron is brought to room temperature, you'll notice a great marbling. This cut is taken from the center of a chuck roast. The extra marbling gives a natural grease as extra moisture as it cooks.
Sprinkled with simple seasonings, and the grill prepped at medium heat, you are all set. Timing is everything to create the cook style you prefer. Prepared at medium rare seen below, each side was only 5 minutes. Reduce time for rare and increase for medium. Easy cooking done just right.
